Net Set Go

Net Set Go is non-competitive and is a modified form of netball.

 

There are three levels of Net Set Go netball

​

Net Set Go Blue - Children Born 2018/19

Net Set Go Green - Children turning 7/8 years old who have not played before (born 2016/17)

Net Set Go Gold - Children turning 8 years old (born in 2016)

Net Set Go White - Children turning 9/10 years old (born in 2014 - 2015)

Net Set Go Blue

Children Born 2018 are eligible to participate in Net Set Go Blue.

 

This is a 10 week program sponsored by Suncorp and designed by Netball Australia for children 5-6 years. ​

Net Set Go Green/Gold

Net Set Go Green
 

  • Entry level for netball 

  • For players 7/8 years old (born in 2016/17) who have not played netball before.

  • Grade 1/2

  • Focus on teaching basic skills required in the game of netball

  • Players experience all positions on court

  • Size 4 netball used

  • Games played under modified rules

  • Games are not scored and no ladders are kept

  • Teams formed based on age and friendships

  • Club provides umpires

Net Set Go Gold

​

  • Players generally progress to this level after one year in Net set Go Green 

  • For players turning 8 years old (born in 2016) who have played at least one year of netball

  • Grade 2/3

  • Focus on developing skills and understanding of the game

  • Players experience all positions on court

  • Size 4 netball used

  • Games are played under modified rules weeks 1-7 then full rules from week 8

  • Games are not scored and no ladders are kept

  • Teams formed based on friendships age and previous playing experience

  • Club provides umpires

Net Set Go White

  • Players generally progress to Net Set Go White in their third year of netball or if they are turning 10 in the calendar year

  • For players turning 9/10 years old (i.e born in 2014/15)

  • Players have an improved skill level and understanding of the game

  • Full netball rules apply fow whole season

  • Size 4 netball used. 

  • Allows players to experience the full game of netball in a non-competitive situation

  • Players experience all positions on court

  • Games are not scored and no ladders are kept

  • SCNA provides paid umpires

  • Net Set Go White teams are graded and placed into the Modified White A,B or C competition based on skill level and criteria provided by SCNA.

IMPORTANT NOTE

 

A NSG White (registered) player can play divisional (change their registration from white to divisional) if they meet the following requirements and approved by the club grading coordinator:

​

- Good understanding of the game and the rules of netball
- Turning 10 in the calendar year (born 2014)
- Played a minimum of 2 years of netball
- Has previously played Net S
et Go White (any level for a minimum 1 year)
- Grade 5 year level at school

 

Any player that does not meet all of these requirements MUST be approved by the SCNA registrar
